Troubleshoot Your Ductless HVAC System in England, AR
The winter weather in England, AR, can be rough on your heating system, and it’s a prime time for problems to show themselves. Your ductless HVAC system can make the task of spotting trouble more difficult than standard systems. Here are a few signs you can watch out for in your ductless HVAC system and what they mean:
Running Loud
Your ductless mini-split system uses a blower in each air handler to move the air in your home. Having more fans equals more sources for mechanical failure. If one of your air handlers runs louder than the others, there’s a good chance that its fan will fail. Therefore, you must schedule repair or maintenance service right away.
Hissing Noises
Hissing noises from an air handler can be a sign that the refrigerant line has a leak. A leak in the refrigerant line is a serious issue. Low refrigerant levels will put a great deal of strain on the entire system. If you don’t address this in time, your entire system could break down, resulting in a much higher repair cost than you were facing at the outset.
Excess Moisture
Always keep a sharp eye out for any signs of excess moisture in or around your air handlers. Be certain to check that your drain lines aren’t backing up into the air handler. Also, check there are no watermarks or soft spots on the walls around each air handler in your home. Excess moisture can reduce the structural integrity of your walls to the point of your air handler falling out and breaking on the floor.
